Here is a pretty tasty Banana Bread recipe with a twist! You aren’t going to want to miss out on this one, seriously yummy.
Banana Bread Blondies! You could almost call them brownies, but with no chocolate we figured Blondies would be a better name.
Ingredients:
Blondies:
1 1/2 cup of Sugar
1 cup Sour cream
1/2 cup softended butter
2 Eggs
3-4 ripe mashed bananas
2 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Frosting ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
4 cups Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
3 tbsp. Milk
Directions:
For the Blondies:
Preheat the oven to 375F.
Grease and lightly flour 15×10-inch jelly roll pan.
In a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs until creamy.
Blend in bananas and vanilla extract.
Add flour, baking soda, salt, and blend for 1 minute. Stir in walnuts (optional).
Spread the batter evenly into the pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
For the frosting:
Heat the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until boiling.
Let the butter turn a light brown and remove from the heat.
Mix in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk.
Whisk until smooth (note: this is thinner than normal frosting).
Spread the frosting over the warm bars.
You can cut them into bars or do something fancy with fun Fall cookie cutters!
