Yes, you read that right!!! I cannot express enough how excited and honored I am to tell you this… I have been invited by Disney & Pixar to attend a HUGE event in Los Angeles in June, along with 24 other great bloggers!!
What does that mean?
I’ve mentioned several times how excited I am for the release of Brave, it looks like it has the potential to be my new favorite Disney movie 🙂 It is being released everywhere on June 22nd. Well on June 18th, I will get to attend the Red Carpet Premiere at… get this… the Dolby Theatre in LA!! (Formerly the Kodak Theatre.) That is where they host the Oscars! Right in the middle of Hollywood. We will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn — which is gorgeous by the way!
Here’s the itinerary:
Sunday, June 17th — I will be flying into LA and getting settled in. That evening we’ll be attending a screening of Disney/Pixar’s BRAVE on the Walt Disney Studios Lot and get a sneak peak of Tim Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE!
Monday, June 18th — I will be attending a screening of DreamWorks Pictures’ PEOPLE LIKE US.
PLUS I get to attend a Q&A with the Director of People Like Us, Alex Kurtzman.
Following that, we’ll head over to do roundtable interviews with Kelly Macdonald (voice of “Merida”), Kevin McKidd (voice of “Lord MacGuffin”), Director Mark Andrews and Producer Katherine Sarafian.
And finally, that evening we will attend the World Premiere of BRAVE at the Dolby Theatre!
What a day right?! I will definitely want to hear from you any questions you think I should ask!! 🙂
So, if that wasn’t exciting enough as it was, Tuesday holds even more in store for us!!
Tuesday, June 19th — We will head over to Disneyland in Anaheim!!!
We will be staying at the recently renovated Disneyland Hotel.
You may or may not have heard but there is a spectacular new feature at California Adventure. Cars Land!
Here are a few of the highlights we will be featuring:
- Cars Land, 12 acres of fun with new three attractions, at Disney California Adventure park
- We will see how closely Radiator Springs in 3-D compares to Radiators Springs from the film
- Interview with an Imagineer who helped create Cars Land; find out how they brought a movie to life (Need more questions!!)
- Experiencing the Mad T Party – down the rabbit hole for nighttime fun and music themed to the Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”
- Riding The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, one of the attractions added in the expansion of Disney California Adventure park
- Staying at the Disneyland Hotel, recently renovated with beautiful rooms and nostalgic touches such as monorails slides in the water play area
- Taking photos with the newest Disney character, Merida, at Disneyland park
We will then be heading home on Wednesday!
Can you say exciting?! I cannot wait and would love to hear from you on questions you may have for the stars/directors of the movies for the Q&A! I want to get a list put together beforehand.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we get closer to the date!
This premiere will offer a rare opportunity for the guests to try their hand at archery immediately following the movie Monday evening. I am thrilled to have the distinct honor of providing our Highland bows and specially designed foam tipped arrows, along with archery instruction. Stop by the archery experience and say “hi”
You will have so much fun! Congrats!!!!! I am happy for you!!!
Wow! What a blast! Have a ball. No questions from here. I would just be soaking it all up!
I am so excited for you and can’t wait to read all about your adventure!!!
Oh! I’ve always wanted to know how different animation acting was from real life acting? loL!
I would ask what it feels like to see themselves as animated characters with their voices attached! 🙂 Sounds like you are going to have a blast!!
I would just like to know if they used their “mistakes” at the end where they often show the “bloopers”…
Did they have fun doing the movie? And have fun!
I would ask them how they changed their voices to adapt to their characters.
what motivates you to do what you do?
Is it fun to do a movie ?
I would ask them if they like doing animation better than regular movies!
Ask them If I can have some Autographs :o)
Who is the greatest fellow actor you’ve meet?
Is it fun to act in animation movies??
How challenging is doing an animation? Do you feel more relaxed? Is the money as good?
How long does an animated film to that caliber take to make, animation, voices…??
I would ask if it’s harder to get into character when “all” you do is the voice.
Shoot, sorry.
How long does and animated film of that caliber take to put together in it’s entirety? Animation, voices, combinding them into a movie…?
Hope that makes more sense, sorry about my last post, a few typo’s to say the least right now.
I would ask them what their favorite disney movie was as a kid.
I would ask them how they wrote a strong character without making her seem stuck up or bratty.
I would ask why they chose that line of work…I always wonder that.
Hi! I would like to know how they got their voiceover start – if they are not screen actors already. I’ve always been told I should do voiceovers but have no clue where to start 🙂
I would ask them how hard,If it was at all hard, to match their words with that of the Charater they were protraying in the movie. I bet it is hard lol. I am so jealous..Have fun!!!
I think I would ask which process is quicker…to voice-over an animated movie or act in a real movie.
Do you catch yourself staying in character after your finished for the day?
Would they do another animated movie after doing this one?
How do you stay in character?
My question is – do you prefer animation acting to on screen acting?
I would like to know how long it takes to draw and animate a movie like this.
What was your favorite part about filming the movie?
WOW SOOOO AWESOME!!! 🙂 When “filming” are you the only one in the booth? Is it just you reading lines or are you able to “act out” your scenes to complete the character?
I would ask what happens if you forget your line in the middle of a song 🙂
I would definitely ask how they keep their character when they’re doing voice acting? Always wanted to know that!
I would ask how their experience was and if there is anything that they would change or do differently?? Sounds like a blast! Have fun!
I would love to know how long it took them to make this film. 🙂
You look like eveyone is having so much fun making this animated movie. What is your favorite part on the animated voice recordings?
I would want to ask them how they keep coming up with such great ideas? It seems some other production companies are running out.
I’ve always wondered if they dress the part in the recording studio to get in character or if the just show up in sweats!
I would like to ask “Does it take longer to make an animated movie than it does a regular movie?”
Have an Awesomesauce time..How much fun was it to do the movie?
Looks fun!
Wow, what an exciting trip this is going to be for you…have fun!!! Not knowing much at all about the story, I would ask how the characters and storyline were developed and how they want kids to relate to the movie and/or what the moral of the story is?
I’d ask the actors to see the bloopers!
I would ask if they ever wish they had a normal life!
whats the best part of doin an animated film
Lucky you!!! We are so anxious to see this movie! If I wasn’t too starstruck I’d ask how they prepare for making an animated movie, like how they decide the voice they are going to use.
did you have fun making this movie? I bet it was fun
Sounds fun! Right in my backyard! I would ask how the animators designed their characters in relation to the voice over actors. Usually the voice over is done before the animation matches the voices. Do they watch the voice over actors and then model their characters’ facial expressions? I have always been curious about that!
Congrats on getting to go!!! I’d ask what their favorite part of making the movie was?
Have fun!
I would ask, if they could do a voice for a classic Disney/Pixar character in a new movie, which one would it be?
Diana C
I always wonder, do they feel silly while recording? Acting with just their voice? I would feel silly at least lol
I would be interested in knowing in people like us, if anything from movie related to them personally.
I would ask how different it is from acting on screen to acting behind the scenes? Is it more difficult or less?
Have a blast!
I would ask if they enjoyed making the movie
What a great opportunity! I would love to know if the actors / actresses actually connected with their characters. I mean, I know they can act, but did they feel like they WERE the character, like some of us can do when we read a really good book?
Is it hard to stay in your role when recording the voices?
is it difficult to play an animated role when there usually aren’t any of the other actors portraying characters in the sound studio at the same time they are?
How very cool that you are getting to do this! My question would probably be to ask them what drew them to this script? I find each actor usually has a personal reason for each part they do, which helps me to actually learn more about them as people.
Is it more difficult to convey different emotions when you are doing acting in an animated film?
Do they do the voices with others as a “regular movie” scene or do they do it aloe? If alone, how do they get themselves into the part if they are all alone?
during the funny parts how can you stop yourself from laughing, i couldn’t!
How many hours a day do you have to work for this movie?
Do they work with the other actors in the studio or on their own?
I would ask them if they know if there is going to be a sequel to the movie.
I would ask them what was their favorite scene in the movie to film?
How fun is it being an animated character?
I would ask them what their favorite piece of voice acting has been?
I Would Ask them if they preferred doing animated movies over regular movies and if so why
Have a great trip! take lots of pictures. Ask the animator’s how they learned their trade, did they love drawing as young children and if they went to school or college to learn the business?
I would want to know if they enjoy animation as much as regular acting.
how does it affect your family being a movie star
Is it harder to do an animation than to do a movie as far as keeping up with the voices?
Is it harder to play an animated character or easier?
I’m new…what is everyone talking about about?
So when you buy the purses do you get any deals?….love the giveaways…
I would ask them, What is their favorite Disney movie! And how does it feel to be a part of Disney’s possibly newest #1 Movie?
Hope you have an amazing time!
Who do you think will be your favorite actor in the movie?
How hard is it to voice over an animated film?
CONGRATS!!! Have fun! I’d ask if they go in individually to do the voices, or if a whole group goes in at a time…
I would ask that what is the most difficult thing about acting is
I would ask them if they actually sit and watch the movie personally once its all done. Do they keep the dvd and watch it from time to time as we the consumers do.
I would ask what they enjoyed most about making this movie.
I love that coach purse/wristlet you are giving away! How amazing!
Congrats and I can’t wait to see! I also would like to ask them how long it took them to make the movies and what they would do differently?!
Exciting! We watched Cars on ABC last night and my 5 yr old wants to go to Cars Land sooo bad!!
I’d like to know how long it took to create Cars Land from concept to finished park.
I’d love to know how much the actors improv. Have a great time!
I’d love to know how much the actors improv. Have a great time!
Do they feel the cameras on them when they are doing a scene?
How do you imagine the scene when your speaking into the microphone?
What is an interesting little known facts about acting with animation?
