Are you familiar with Educational Insights? If you have kids, you need to be! I’ve had the privilege of reviewing several of their products with my kids over the past year and I have to say — they are outstanding when it comes to educational value and quality.
Today I am going to take up two of my favorites and the awesome thing is that Educational Insights is offering one of each of these to winners of a giveaway too!
GeoSafari Talking Electron Microscope:
This Microscope is a BLAST. My kids are a bit young for this so I gave it to my 8 year old niece to use. She is home-schooled and this was PERFECT for her.
It is very light and portable and she actually carried it around with her for a few days, although I guess the bug section creeped her out. Eeeeeek — bed bugs! 😉
The nice thing is, it has about 180 slides preloaded and your child can learn all about all kinds of things, from bugs to the human body, plants and more.
Plus, it has a quiz mode too! Your child can learn all about the various items and then turn it over to quiz mode and reinforce what they have learned.
This one I am totally loving with my kids! Especially my 5 year old, who will be starting school this next school year.
She is at that stage where she is soooo curious about everything and WANTS to learn new things so this globe was perfect. (Excuse the jammies, we’ve had a bug in the house but she was very excited to learn where the Statue of Liberty was!)
The greatest feature about this globe is that it is SO EASY to use. You put the batteries in and set it up and can choose from learning about countries, landmarks and more. The globe talks to the kids and tells them how to find the various land masses that it is talking about. Kylie, was pointing out the Statue of Liberty to me above and she is just soaking up all kinds of interesting facts about the US and other countries too – I’m loving it!
