You need to have a registered Starbucks card to participate. I actually use the Starbucks app on my phone, very easy to check out (you don’t even have to pull out your wallet – they can scan your card on your phone!), and you can keep track of the stars earned, reload your gift card, etc.
If you do frequent Starbucks, I highly recommend using the app as you can earn rewards 😉
