If you have plans the second weekend in November, cancel ‘em because our Christmas miracle has come early. This morning, Hallmark Channel announced they’ll be hosting the first-ever “Christmas Con” this November—and you’re definitely going to want to be there.
The 3-day holiday extravaganza will have it all: Insanely-elaborate Christmas decor, an ugly sweater contest, a Christmas market, live musical performances, and of course, all your favorite Hallmark stars will be there. The event coincides with the 10th anniversary of the iconic Countdown to Christmas, which kicks off in just a few weeks.
The convention will take place November 8-10 in Edison, New Jersey, and tickets are on sale now. According to Hallmark, the convention center will be expertly decorated to make you feel like you’ve stepped directly onto a holiday movie set. Shop your way through the Christmas Market stocked with homemade gifts, decor, and treats (all made by local artists and bakers), then head over to have your photo taken with Santa.
Don your best ugly Christmas sweater for the day-long competition on Saturday (you could win up to $500!), and hang out with Bran, Panda, and Dan—the three guys behind the ‘Deck the Hallmark’ podcast that went viral last year. You’ll also want to stick around through Saturday evening for the live musical performance by fan-favorite actress and musician, Alicia Witt.
In addition to the general Christmas merriment, you can also meet the stars of your favorite Hallmark films: Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Bennett, Cameron Mathison, Chad Michael Murray, and more than 10 other actors will be in attendance. Stop by the celebrity guest booths for the chance to take a selfie with each star, or attend the Q&A panel where you’ll have the opportunity to ask them all your Hallmark movie-related questions.
The network confirmed that the convention is open to anyone interested in buying tickets for the event. Day passes range from $35-45 for adults (kids passes start at $10 per day), or you can grab a three-day adult general admission pass for $75.
Cancel your plans, pack your bags, and ask Santa to buy you a weekend pass because this sounds like an event you won’t want to miss.
