A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving first aired in 1973 before going on to become a beloved holiday tradition for countless families everywhere. This year, ABC will be airing the Thanksgiving classic on Wednesday, November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving.
This animated short film tells the story of Charlie Brown attempting to organize what may very well be the first-ever “Friendsgiving.” As the Peanuts gang throws together an impromptu celebration (with a menu featuring toast, popcorn, and jelly beans), they learn about the true meaning of the holiday.
Immediately following A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, ABC will be airing a bonus Charlie Brown feature called This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers. This animated short film shows Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they go back in time to 1620 to meet the passengers of the Mayflower to celebrate the first Thanksgiving with them.
