Pulling this recipe up from last year as this is a great one for the Holidays!! Be sure to PIN it!
Tonight we tried a new recipe for White Chocolate Pecan Pie and OH MY, I do not think that I will be able to eat restaurant or store bought Pecan Pie ever again. It is SO unbelievably tasty that I have to share 🙂
First off, it is made with White Chocolate added in and I usually am not a huge fan but WOW! Taste bud EXPLOSION. My hubby found this recipe in People Magazine, of all places! It is Cat Cora’s White Chocolate Pecan Pie from the Iron Chef.
We’ll be making this one again for Christmas for sure!
White Chocolate Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
1 9″ pie crust
2 cups Pecan halves
1 1/2 cup white chocolate or vanilla flavored chips
3 eggs
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3 tbsp. all purpose flour
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Layer pecans and chips in the pie crust. In a large bowl, quickly hand-whisk the eggs until just combined.
2. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup and flour. Stir with a wooden spoon until thoroughly incorporated.
3. Pour over nuts and chips. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is set in center. Cover with spray-coated foil after 25 minutes of baking. Cool completely (this one is hard to do — I had to taste… 😉), approximately 2 hours. Store in refrigerator.

do you happen to have a gluten free version?
Jen says
Substitue the flour to a gluten free alternative like spelt or tapioca or rice flours
Jen says
use corn starch to thicken.

Thanks for the post! I wanted to make that exact recipe after reading it in People Magazine. Seems I misplaced the recipe so I was hoping someone was kind enough to post on the web. Many thanks for sharing – Happy New Year!
