This is a great choice when you are longing for some comfort food, or if you are in a hurry. How you mash the taters is up to you. You can mash some on your own, or if time is tight, buy the already made ones in the refrigerated section at your store. Here’s what you need for the gravy part:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can brown gravy
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
Brown the ground beef and drain. Then add the gravy and soup. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
It is that easy. Serve over the potatoes and with your favorite veggie side. It literally takes less time than it took me to blog about it.
Do you want to have a second meal from the same efforts? Double what you need for the first meal. Save the remainder for a day or so, or freeze for later. When you are ready to use, chop up some fresh mushrooms, add to mixture as you heat it up. You can even include a little bit of wine. Boil some Rotini or wide egg noodles. When the mixture is hot add a few dollops of sour cream and your cooked noodles. Serve with salad or veggies. Voila … Hamburger Beef Stroganoff!
