My favorite thing about the Disney vault is that when the movies come out of the vault they are always remastered and you have that same excitement for a “new” movie! Mulan is definitely NO exception!
I had actually never watched Mulan so it really was a “new” movie for me. About two weeks ago I was provided a copy for review, as with anything Disney the kids couldn’t wait to watch it!
Different than all other Disney movies that I have seen, this one is based in China and unlike the classic Princess stories, Mulan is actually the hero in this one. Very motivational and puts across the message for the kids that with hard work, they can do anything that they set their mind to.
The color and remastering were flawless and BluRay clarity just makes the whole movie pop. I think my only downfall in the whole thing would be that I wouldn’t have necessarily made number 1 and 2 a combo pack, and I definitely preferred the first to the second! Oh! I can’t forget to mention — Eddie Murphy plays Mushu the Dragon… need I say more?! Great comedy added in to make it enjoyable for all ages.
My daughter, Kylie, who is 6 loved the movie so much that when I came back in the room after they had watched the movie, she had drawn a picture of Mulan!
