In the mood for a healthy snack? Here is an easy fix for that desire. I suggest purchasing the pecans at Costco or Sam’s Club since that is the least expensive for sure. They usually have big bags for a good price, and you will want a big bag after you try these. They are definitely addictive.
You don’t need much. This is for half a bag:
1/2 bag pecan halves
1/4 cup coconut oil melted
Salt
Mix the coconut oil and pecans in a bowl until pecans are totally coated. Spread them on a cookie tray and salt them. Roast in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. You want them to look browned but not burnt.
Remove from oven and gently slant to allow extra oil to drain off the pecans.
Let them cool before removing them to a bowl or container. Make sure to hide them so they don’t all get eaten at once. Add salt to your taste.
You can get very reasonable prices on Coconut Oil at Amazon or VitaCost. I like having a big container around. It is wonderful with popcorn. You can also dish out a scoop, put it in a jar and use it at your cleansing and makeup station to use on your face!
