Strawberries are my favorite fruit. Usually I prefer them fresh out of the fridge or Chocolate covered. In fact, I am not even a fan of strawberry flavoring, I like my strawberries “pure”. I hadn’t ever thought of having them on cake but found this recipe and had to give it a whirl!! Strawberry Cake!

Strawberry Cake Recipe
What you need:
6 Tbsp butter, softened
1 1/2 Cups of All Purse Flour
1 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Cup + 2 tbsp of Sugar
1 Large Egg
1/2 a cup of Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1lb Strawberries sliced
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Lightly grease a 10 inch pie plate.
Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl mix 1 cup Sugar + the butter together until light and fluffy. Then mix in the egg, vanilla and milk
Add in dry mix and mix until smooth.
Pour into the pie plate. Then top with the strawberries and dust the top with the remaining 2 Tbsp of Sugar.
Cook for 10 minutes at 350. Then reduce the heat to 325 and bake the cake for about an hour. Until it is a light golden brown.
Cool and serve! Another one that is seriously tasty!
