Can you believe Summer is coming to an end?! It seems to have flown by this year, I am ready for Fall though. I was just thinking the other day that I cannot wait to decorate for the holidays 😉
One of my favorite things about the Fall and Holiday season are the yummy smells that comes along with it! This Apple Pie Moonshine is the perfect Fall evening drink for a BBQ with friends! Easy to make too!
Apple Pie Moonshine, Easy Homemade Recipe
What you need:
1 gallon of apple cider
1 gallon apple juice
1 ½ C. sugar
1 L bottle of 190 proof alcohol (I used Everclear for this recipe)
How to make Apple Pie Moonshine:
In a large saucepan combine the apple cider, apple juice, cinnamon sticks and sugar. Slowly bring to a boil. Stir continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Once the mixture is cool, slowly pour in the 190 proof alcohol and stir.
Store in airtight containers, such as quart size canning jars, with at least 1 cinnamon stick. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
This makes for great gifts during the holidays too!
**Note – I do not store mine in the fridge due to lack of room. My jars did seal and they store well at room temperature.Â
Enjoy!
