This post was sponsored by Baby’s Journey as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary merchandise to facilitate my review.
With Oliver having been in the NICU for almost 6 months, and the little guy that he was, he was almost 1 by the time I moved him out of our bedroom into his crib. That doesn’t mean it was easier though! Due to his chronic lung disease due to prematurity, I am sure you can imagine why I feel like a first time mom on hyperdrive all over again (even though he is #3!).
So having an excellent video system is very important to me. The Baby’s Journey Smart Sync baby monitor is PERFECT for this. So not only is the monitor itself just flawless, with a touchscreen monitor and it’s in COLOR! But you can also install the app on your phone and access it from anywhere! This is perfect for the helicopter mom like me 😉 OR, just for those moms who may be away at work and looking to check in. The Wi-Fi camera uses infrared LEDs, which enable you to see baby in low-light conditions.
PLUS, you can actually snap cute pics of your little one with the video camera and post straight to social media, or save them. The Baby’s Journal function helps you create entries of baby’s milestones with date-stamped photos.
That said, above and beyond everything else, my absolutely favorite aspect of the Baby’s Journey Smart Sync baby monitor is the journal aspect.
Oliver is tube fed. Due to his prematurity and extended time being intubated, he has an oral aversion and while we are working on getting him to eat, the tube feeds are the way to go. The problem is I have to keep track of everything. With my other kids I hardly paid any attention to numbers, I just nursed them and when they were old enough to eat, they ate when they were hungry.
Having a preemie, or any baby that may have eating issues, this is a whole different ball game. “Numbers” become so important. But tracking everything can get overwhelming. The Baby’s Journey Smart Sync baby monitor helps with this. You can track how much the baby is being fed daily. It’s an easy to use function and you just log your volumes and dates and voila!
The monitors are now available online and in-store at Babies “R” Us locations. For more information, head over to Babies ‘R Us to check it out!
