Bonefish Grill just recently made its debut here in Albuquerque. We are always looking to try new places and seafood is a favorite, so when I was given an opportunity to take the family in for a great dinner I jumped!
First off, I was a little concerned that it wasn’t going to be family friendly, but I was WRONG! They have a great kids menu, they even had crayons and activities for the kiddos to stay busy while we waited for the food.
We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer, at dinner time they also gave us complimentary bread with oil too. The bread was great. The Calamari was fantastic and oh my word, the dipping sauce?!?! I need to figure out how to make that. It is called a Sweet Spicy Asian Sauce but WOW, it was seriously like nothing I have had with Calamari before, I will be ordering this one again for sure. It was more “sweet” than spice though. They also throw in green and red peppers that are flash fried and were a nice and tasty surprise.
The kids ordered the Grilled Chicken and Chicken Tenders kids meals, I was happy they had non-seafood options for the kiddos, as I know not all kids like it. Although, Tristan did eat about half that calamari plate himself 😉
Both Daniel and I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos.
On their dinner menu, you get to pick a side with that and I chose the Au Gratin Potatoes, so cheesy and good! Now, the Bang Bang Shrimp? This is a MUST TRY. It has just enough bite (not too much but it does have a bite), the flavor is phenomenal. Daniel has actually gone and gotten these three times now. They are that good. If you like Shrimp, you need to try this. Otherwise, they have a great menu full of other seafood options too! Oh and they even have a Filet Mignon taco. Sounds pretty delicious to me!
The new location here in Albuquerque had great service too, I definitely recommend reservations though as they can be PACKED at dinner time!

There is a Bonefish Grill across town and I’ve been there once – about 5 years ago. Want to go again because it was SO GOOD.
