CVS & Walgreens: Random Notes/Deals ($1 Money Maker on Ricola + FREE Illy Coffee!)

I went out to Walgreens and CVS this morning to snag a few deals and have a few deals to mention!

CVS:

Be sure to scan your Extra Care Card when you head in!   I got a coupon for a FREE Illy Can of Coffee!     I also got:

$3 Off Cover Girl Shineblast Lip Gloss
$5 off any Facial SkinCare purchase of $20

If you don’t get the freebie coupon on the first scan,    scan your card again — I got it on the 2nd scan.

Aveeno deal:

It appears they are having issues with the Ecb on this one,   the ad clearly says Buy 2 Aveeno Moisturizing lotion sizes 0.5oz+ = $7 Ecb.  Before heading out I had heard that the 1oz ($1.49) lotions were NOT working for the deal,    even though they should per the printed ad.   As I really like Aveeno lotion,   opted to use the $3/2 coupon from the 10/30 SS to get two large bottles.   They are also on sale for 2 for $13.    So I paid $10  (actually I used ECBs that I had already).    Even with using the large size bottles my Ecb did NOT print.   So the cashier printed it manually for me.     Do note that as you could potentially have the cashier print your $7 Ecb with just the $1.49 size, making that a $4 money maker.

Walgreens:

I was surprised to find a $1/1 Ricola coupon in my 10/30 SS this morning,   this was not in the SS preview that I had so I am guessing that this could be regional?    If you did get that coupon,   you can use it to make $1 on Ricola!

Deal works as follows:

Ricola Dual Action Cherry Throat Drops, 19ct, $2 = $2 RR
Use the $1/1 coupon from the 10/30 SS
Pay $1
Get back a $2 RR
Final cost FREE + $1 money maker

My Walgreens did NOT have the Holiday Coupon booklet available yet (they didn’t even have the regular November coupon booklet yet :().   Hopefully you have more luck with that than me!

That said,    the girls at the Beauty counter in the Walgreens I went to today were awesome,   they had all kinds of freebies and samples behind the counter to give out!
