Anyone live or visiting Canada?
In 2017, for the entire year, admission for all visitors to Canadian National Parks, National Historical Sites and National Marine Conservation Areas operated by Parks Canada will be FREE (over 200 places!). Lockage fees for Parks Canada’s historic canals and waterways will also be waived.
To take advantage of this offer, you can either check back on the Parks Canada page closer to the end of the year for more details about how to access free admission in 2017. OR you can purchase a Discovery Pass this year (provides admission to all Parks Canada locations) and it will be valid for two full years and also include the free admission in 2017.
The fee schedule for Discovery Passes is as follows (taxes are included. Go HERE for more info):
Family/Group $136.40
Youth Individual (ages 6-16) $ 33.30
Adult Individual (ages 17-64) $ 67.70
Senior Individual (ages 65+) $ 57.90
Know that fees will still apply for experiences and services, including camping and other accommodations, Canadian Rockies Hot Springs, mooring, reservation fees, guided tours, firewood, plus hikes and programs not regularly included with admission.
