This weekend we made Halloween Trees. This is a very fun, very easy, very inexpensive craft to make! Great way to add a simple Halloween Tree to spruce up the house and get everyone in the mood for the holidays.
Here’s what you need to make a Halloween Tree:
- Branches (We used Corkscrew Willow branches because they had that unique, spooky, wiry look.)
- Leaves (real or fake)
- Cute Halloween Ornaments
- Marbles
- String
- Hot Glue Gun
- Halloween Stickers
- Ric-rack, ribbon, etc.
- Duct tape
- Rocks
- Bucket/pail/vase
This was SUPER easy, and my kids had a BLAST putting it together. Most of these can be items that you have around the house, can find in the yard, etc. If you need anything you can always use the Michael’s 40% off coupon that is available pretty much every weekend.
Directions:
1. Tape the branches together, set aside.
2. Fill the bucket with rocks. I used medium sized landscaping rocks from my garden. I had one of my girls hold the tree branches in the center of the pot, and filled the rocks in around the tree to hold it upright.
3. Decorate. Easy right? We glued the leaves to the top of the rocks and some to the tree branches. Hung lights on the tree and then hung & glued ornaments & stickers. SO EASY, SO CUTE, SO FUN!
