I’ve brought up our love for Build a Bear many times before, Kylie has several which she cannot sleep without. One of my favorite aspects about Build a Bear has always been that they are customizable, especially when you actually go and let the kids build their bear at the store.
So when I was given the opportunity to work with Build a Bear again to introduce the brand new line of The Honey Girls, of course I was all over it! Kylie is already begging me to go get the other two 😉
Who are The Honey Girls?
The Honey Girls – Teegan, Risa and Viv – met at school and formed their own band. Music brought the Honey Girls together, but their friendship keeps them together. Each of the Honey Girls has her own strengths and talents that help the friends “be brighter together.”
Teegan is the fearless and bold lead singer. Risa is the guitarist (which is who we got), and she is all about music and being creative. Lastly, Viv is the drummer, who’s not only a great friend but also a talented inventor.
One of the best things for me is that The Honey Girls story goes beyond the tale of a music band as it embraces the importance working as a team and using each other’s strengths and talents to make a group.
The kids can customize their Honey Girls character with a special plush star, which represents a positive, aspirational trait that complements the Honey Girls empowerment theme. Each of them actually come with a “Trait card” too!
And guess what?
Each Honey Girls character has her own original song along with the group’s debut song titled “Everything is Better.”
The three Honey Girls friends will be available for purchase online starting July 8 at BuildaBear.com. They will be in-store at Build-A-Bear Workshops starting July 10. Priced at $28 each, outfits and accessories sold separately.
Plus, instead of the normal Build a Bear box, these actually come with their own unique box that can be turned into a stage!! We haven’t converted ours yet having just got it, but that’s on the ‘to-do’ list for tonight!
