Did you read The Choice by Nicolas Sparks? I read it a few weeks ago and I have to say it was one of my favorites by him. I have read pretty much all of his books and can’t wait to see this movie! Out in theaters NOW!!
It’s difficult to explain why this book is called “The Choice”, unless you have read it. But it really makes you think. Definitely about choices, and really gets you thinking about what you would do in a similar situation.
For me, a good book is one that sucks you in from the first chapter. One that I don’t want to put down until I am done (and most of the time… that is what happens, ha!). This was absolutely one of those books.
When feisty medical student Gabby Hollan [Teresa Palmer] moves in next door to perennial ladies’ man Travis Shaw [Benjamin Walker], they embark on a surprising romantic journey neither imagined possible. Travis has always believed a serious relationship would cramp his easygoing lifestyle, while Gabby is preparing to settle down with her long-term boyfriend—until an irresistible attraction between the unlikely couple upends both of their well-planned lives. How far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?
This book takes you away to the shores of North Carolina, even though I have never been there, I felt like I was! You imagine yourself by the water with sand between your toes, falling in love under the stars with alongside the characters. Fortunately, so many of Nicolas Sparks’ movies are turned into movies because I truly love having the story brought to life on the big screen.
I am looking forward to seeing how they lay out the story, the book leaves you hanging about what is really happening, flipping back and forth on the time line, you don’t find out until almost the end of the book what “The Choice” is. So I am very curious how they are going to show it in the movie!
