Both of my first two kids were breastfed and until Oliver, I really couldn’t even imagine any reason to formula feed. That said, there are obviously times when breastfeeding is just not an option. And the bottomline is, a FED baby is the most important thing. Fed and healthy. I pumped as much as I could through the time that Ollie was in the NICU but after several months of exclusively pumping it was not possible to meet the demand.
Just because we’re talking about formula, doesn’t mean we aren’t supporting breastfeeding. Pediatricians say breastfeeding is best for babies and Parent’s Choice supports that.
We had to introduce formula and now, since he has been home, we are on formula too as he is fed through a g-tube. We have been through several formulas. Finding the right one for your baby can be challenging. Too gassy, constipation, etc. etc. There are a lot of possible formulas which you can test out to get the right one for your baby.
That said, formula is pricey!
Thankfully, I have found that the Parent’s Choice, Walmart exclusive, is very comparable to the name brand formula. Oliver has been on Enfamil Gentlease and is able to use the Parent’s Choice Gentle with no issues at all. Which is saying a LOT as he was not able to use the Gerber equivalent.

These are all affordable and a great way to saves some money on the formula that you may need for your baby. Parent’s Choice meets all infant’s formula nutritional standards and the recommendation of the AAP – the American Academy of Pediatrics. Higher cost does NOT always = higher quality and this is one example of that.
