Purina Recalls Select Muse Wet Cat Food Cans

If you have purchased Muse wet cat food recently, you need to throw it out.

That’s because Nestlé Purina PetCare Company has a recall out for a limited amount of Muse wet cat food 3oz cans (these may contain yellow and blue rubber pieces that may be a choking hazard). The affected products were distributed nationwide and available for purchase at pet specialty and e-commerce retailers.

Know that only the single Natural Chicken Recipe in Gravy cans with a best by date of April 2020 are being recalled. You can identify the recalled product by UPC 38100 17199, production code 80941162, and “Best By” date of APR2020 on the bottom of the can. If you’ve purchased a variety pack, know that only the Natural Chicken Recipe in Gravy cans are included in the recall.

There have NOT been any reports to date of injury or illness to cats that have been fed this product. But, Purina recommends that you throw out any of the affected products, and contact them for a replacement. Call them at 1-800-982-3885 for more details or with any questions you may have.
