So a couple of months ago we went to a lake in Northern NM for a weekend vacation. We were with friends and had a blast. The last night on the lake, we actually made a Seafood Boil for dinner and OH MY WORD I am so addicted to this meal now. No joke! We have made it probably 4 times since?
What I love about it? It is probably one of the easiest meals EVER to make, and it is SO SO SO good!! I hadn't even heard of it before then (I know…).
One way that I have found that you can make this just a little healthier and taste just as good? Use Butterball Turkey Dinner Sausage!! It tastes almost the same as the regular beef sausage too.
What do you need (this can EASILY be doubled/tripled!):
1lbs of Seafood, we have used crab legs, shrimp, etc. Anything like that. I personally prefer shrimp
1 Butterball Turkey Dinner Sausage sliced
frozen corn on the cob bits (I use the half size)
about 10-12 Petite red potatos
Crab Boil
Old Bay Seasoning
How do you make a Seafood Boil?
Boil about 2.5 quarts of water with a tsp of Old Bay Seasoning
Once boiling, you toss EVERYTHING else including 1 tablespoon of Crab Boil into the hot water. Let it return to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. I let it sit for a good 40 minutes simmering, until the potatoes are softened.
Serve and enjoy! Definitely a must try! Be sure to get your Butterball coupons to save you some money too! And don't forget to check out other great Butterball recipes!
