So there is a great little sandwich shop here in Albuquerque called Relish. If you live here, or are traveling through, you definitely need to stop and check it out. I’d only been a couple times when I tried their Smoked Turkey Sandwich. The first time I ordered it, I didn’t look at what was in it beforehand and I was a little hesitant when it arrived and there were apples!
One bite in though and I was SOLD. I haven’t ordered anything else there since 😉 And I’ve stopped in quite a few times. This Smoked Turkey sandwich with a twist is by far the BEST turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. The nice thing is it is very easy to recreate at home!

Smoked Turkey Sandwich
Makes: 2 Sandwiches
What you need:
4 Pieces Whole Wheat Toast
1/2 lb. Smoked Turkey Deli Slices
2 Slices Havarti Cheese
1/4 – 1/2 Cup Apple Butter
1 Granny Smith Apple
Directions:
Slice the apple with a knife or mandolin. Set aside.
Toast the whole wheat bread.
Spread the apple butter on the bottom piece of toasted bread. (I actually like it with apple butter on both slices but you can try it both ways!)
Place the sliced granny smith apples on top of the apple butter, followed by the cheese and turkey.
Add the second slice of bread to the top and enjoy 🙂
