I am starting something new here on the blog, totally UNRELATED to deals, couponing, shopping or anything else. We’ll call it Thankful Thursday.
About a week ago I started thinking that I needed to take a step back and clear my head as it is SO easy to get engrossed in the rush of finding a good deal — it can become obsessive and suck you right in — 24/7. Especially as a blogger, I want to make sure my readers get the best deals ALL THE TIME. Β Β Some are SO time sensitive though that, truth be told, even when I am away from my computer — I am still checking my phone…
I kept telling myself that I need to put the laptop away, put the phone down and ENJOY the moment. My kids will only be this age once. So, this past weekend I did my best to step back from the deal hunting and couponing. We took the kids to a baseball game on Saturday evening and the zoo on Sunday, and despite the trials (and hair yanking, teeth grinding moments…) of raising a 3 year old boy… we had FUN. π
So later in the week, even when I had moments like this…. (which is about 1/1000th of my week…haha):
… I could still be thankful of my kids and appreciate their curiosity and all the trouble they manage to get themselves into.
I was going to tell you all how thankful I am of my readers, but I think I am going to save that one for next week — I have a lot to say! π Β So be sure to check back next Thursday!
Now — you tell me, what are YOU thankful for this week?
Leave me a comment here and tomorrow, I will randomly pick a winner for a special prize!

The only thing that can not be saved is my car:( but in the grand scheme of things my baby’s are ok and I am able to continue to watch them grow up. I am so very THANKFUL that one of my sons are headed home from Afghanistan safe and healthy. Sad at the same time that my other son is going to be on his way to Afghanistan in the next 6 weeks. I am hoping we get to have both boys home together. It has been way to long since they have seen each other. They are stationed on opposite coasts. Thank you Lord for your continued guidance for all our men and women in harms way and bring them all home safe.

I am thankful that we live in a country that has freedom of religion. We can go to church on Sunday with out the fear of having to hide and being caught and punished.I am thankful that I can walk into a book store, retail store or drug store and buy Gods word with out looking over my shoulder worrying I might get caught with illegal contraband.I am thankful for God,my kids, and my family.

I am so thankful that we moved our family out the house we had owned because it was having very serious health effects on our daughter. We moved to what was supposed to be one the worst places in our area and we were truely scared to move but it was the only place we could find that could fit all of our children and allow us to keep their dogs and we lucked out and found some of the best friends in the whole world in our neighbors, even their children and our children have become best friends. I am actually happier than I have been in many years and I know that makes me a better Mom and our family much happier!
