Did you watch season 1 of Galavant? It is a slap-stick, fun filled musical style show. I’ll be honest, I have to be in the mood for that slapstick type humor to enjoy it, but the thing that really stands out for me in this one is some great talent. The singing and acts that are put on for the show are truly a fun show.
When I was in LA last month we had the opportunity to watch the Season 2 premiere and interview Timothy Omundson (who plays King Richard in the show), Executive Producers Dan Fogelman and Kat Likkel.
The first episode of Season 2, starts off with a bang and it really is hilarious. The nice thing is, there is a lot of undertone humor that you will get but the kids will just be watching some slapstick singing 😉
Having discovered the dark side of Madalena, our dashing hero’s adventures continue as he embarks on an unlikely bromance with King Richard and fights to rekindle the romance with his true love, Isabella.
Oh and did you know that Vinnie Jones is in this show?! Watching him sing and dance was quite the show.
Kat Likkel and Timothy Omundson both were rave about working with him too.
He wanted to do it. He’s singing a love song to nobody like a Disney-like opening of Beauty and the Beast. His accent is so thick when he’s singing it. We thought it was funny, so we actually did subtitles with a blooper. He’s got a real love story this year.
Vinnie is such a surprise. He’s got such a scary reputation and he always plays these horrible thugs, thought he is actually the sweetest most gentle man and a joy to work with. I think he’s gonna surprise everyone this year with what he can do, what his acting chops are. – Kat Likkel
Timothy Omundson said, Vinnie is the ace in the hole. His work is unlike anything I’ve ever seen him do. I’ve worked with him for a year and he’s one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever come.
Watching Timothy Omundson on the screen in this hilarious role was quite something too though, I actually thought that he had a REAL English accent, he does it that well!
One of the questions he was asked was whether he preferred this type of role or things like Psych…
I prefer this. I showed up this season looking like I walked on the mountains. I came home to see my wife and kids and I walked in the door she’s said what? She doesn’t like it when I look like Charles Manson.
If you like humor, you will definitely want to tune in TONIGHT at 8pm on ABC to watch Season 2 of Galavant!
