A few years ago we took a road trip to salt lake city to visit my husbands mother. First we stopped in las Vegas at his granny’s house for the night. Then traveled to salt lake city. Stayed there a few days. It was snowing which was beautiful and magical nothing like a white Christmas. My youngest child was 2 years old and had a great time playing in the snow. Then we headed to Arizona to visit more family and friends. Then headed home.
I love White Christmases! I wish we had more where I live.

LOL!! When i was a teenager my entire family caravaned croos country!! We had three different cars and my best friend,myself and my brother were driving in one car. Well…we were going from California to Alabama to spend time with our entire family and we got lost before we even crossed the border! The Highway Patrol had to “find” the others ( no cell phones in the 70’s) while we spent the night in the car!!

I remember long ago when I was married to my first husband. We went to visit my parents in New Mexico and got caught in a blizzard. We slid off the road and had to spend the next 4 hours in the truck until the plow drivers came around and got us out.
Made it to my in-laws house just before a an 18 wheeler wrecked on the highway and left hundreds of other people unable to get home for Thanksgiving. We were very thankful

One year we left my uncles during 4th of July with 2 small children could not get a room ….. kids wouldn’t sleep ….. hyper the whole way home …..

We live about an hr and a half from my in laws and every Christmas we wake up and drive to thier house. Well my kids were 6 & 7 so I let them ride in thier pjs which was fine and dandy till we ran out of gas. Uhhgg talk about a long morning.
