I’m strapped into a 2 year contract with my current cell phone provider (just until March!!). I’m sure a lot of us are, right? You want the current phone and they lure you in with the discounted up front prices but trap you into a long contract. No fun. I don’t know about you but I want a cheap wireless plan!
I heard about the Walmart Family Mobile plan a few times but was quite leery of it. I mean UNLIMITED calling, unlimited text and unlimited web all for just $40 a month on a smart phone?!?! Really?! I’m actually embarrassed to say what I am currently paying. For two lines on iPhones with unlimited text and phone, and 1GB of data (yes, just 1gb)… we are paying $160 a month… 🙁
With the Walmart Family Mobile Plan you just pay $39.88 per month for the first line and just $34.88 per month for each additional line. 100% unlimited plans! AND it is on the T-Mobile 3G network! That is definitely the lowest price rate plan I have seen!

We headed into Walmart and the selection of phones was quite impressive.
I was looking for the most basic Smartphone to test this out and they actually have a basic Android smartphone — the Concord — for just $79.88! The selection was great though, the myTouch would have been my next choice at just $129.88. Definitely a deal for a nice one!
I love that all you pay out of pocket to get started is the $25 activation starter kit! It includes a SIM card for the phone and the activation code. I was able to buy the phone and starter kit at Walmart and then activate the whole thing online with NO problems! Took about 3 minutes. Here is another nice thing… NO Credit Check required!!
Phone is already activated and up and running! I’m very happy to take advantage of this now and plan on switching 100% once my contract is up in March! Talk about a savings! I will drop from $160+ tax a month to just $75!! WOW right?

Awesome! Really cannot beat that price. My daughter and I do a family plan, and I remember when it was way less expensive than it is now, even with my employee discount applied. It seems the prices keep getting higher and higher. I’m trying out the Walmart plan too. I think we’re just going to switch it to the phones we already have for now.
I love that my phone is compatible with this service. It helps cut down having to purchase a new phone.
I wish mine was!! I am loving the service so far though!
