Disney recently announced plans to offer a new bundle of streaming services at the low price of $12.99 per month.
With combined pricing for Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu, the bundle is set to include family programming, live sports, and an extensive library of TV shows.
Scheduled to launch in November, this service is expected to be a challenge for competitors like Netflix and HBO Max (to launch in the spring of 2020).
Disney is matching Netflix’s standard plan and offering its bundled service at $3 less than its competitor’s premium version, which allows subscribers and their family members to watch on up to four devices at a time.
You should know though, that two of the Disney services (ESPN+ and Hulu) have advertising, while Netflix is commercial-free.
Commercials aside, Disney’s powerful exclusive content (like its own original movies and those from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars) along with its low monthly rate will make it a tough competitor.
