Did you watch last week’s Agent Carter?! I am so in love with that show. Today is episode 2 of season two, make sure you tune in at 8/9pm Central on ABC!
So last month, when I was invited on a pretty epic Press trip, one of the fun things that we got to do was visit the Agent Carter set. Last week, I told you about interviewing the stars and the executive producers of the show. Well what I didn’t tell you about was walked through the set! We got to take some great pictures and go behind the scenes where they make the costumes for the show.
The amount of detail and work that goes into costuming is rather remarkable. I mean, it isn’t like they can just go to a store and buy clothes from the 1940s… the research has to be done on what was being worn in Los Angeles during the 40s. Then it is a matter of finding the material and product.
Watching them work behind the scenes was crazy, clothes everywhere and the time and detail is just incredible. It’s the real deal. While we were in the costuming department, there were people busy sewing dresses, fixing things, etc.. Not only do they have to make the costumes but they have to account for the wear and tear of an action show too!
Best part, we got to see and feel it all! And of course… there’s Peggy Carter’s iconic red hat.

We got to chat with the costume designer for a while and I was truly in awe of all the detail and work that goes into this. When you are sitting there watching the show, you really don’t even think about the costumes but the show does transport you back to the 40s and the costumes are an integral part to that.
Here are a few more pics from our set visit, enjoy! And don’t forget to tune in tonight!
