The New Gevalia Signature Blend
One of my very first purchases online … way before I blogged about bargains … was a Gevalia coffee maker and some of their coffee. Just the normal kind in the bag.
Single cup coffee makers were still in the imaginations of someone other than me. Darn!
Like a lot of you, I am now addicted to my single cup coffee maker. I was delighted when I learned that Gevalia now has single serve coffee. I even signed up and received a sample pack with the New Gevalia Signature Blend and the New Gevalia Columbia Medium Roast in it. Well, that was only a tease. I immediately checked out prices online to see how I wanted to approach my inevitable purchase. The prices, even on Amazon were a bit higher than some K-cups, but my experience with Gevalia gourmet coffee beans told me it would be worth a try. I wanted the great taste now, without waiting for shipping, so I headed out to Walmart.
My usual Walmart had only the Columbia Blend, so I had to search other stores to locate some of the Signature Blend that I enjoyed with the sample pack. It is definitely the favorite in my house. It is the smoothest coffee I have ever tasted, and the after taste is heavenly. It definitely lives up to their standard – Gevalia rich never bitter coffee. Offering that exceptional taste in a single-serve cup was only was only a matter of time. And, the time is here!
We adults like to drink it with our favorite cream or creamer in our favorite cup. I like a bit of half and half and some hazelnut creamer. Why both? I like more coffee taste and less sweet.
If you are used to fresh ground coffee beans, you can also purchase the actual Gourmet Coffee beans, grind them and use them in the refill k-cups to save on price. But, nothing beats the single serve cups when you want convenience. Be sure to visit Gevalia’s site to check out all the options.
And, a challenge for the kid (or kids) in your house. I dare you to stack more than five of these little treasures.
