Peanut Butter and Chocolate, a perfect match! Here is another great treat that you could make for Valentine’s Day (or any other time of year!) 🙂 Be sure to use your favorite Peanut Butter!
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Bon Bons
What you need:
12 ounces quality dark chocolate for melting (we used Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers)
2 cups peanut butter
3-4 cups confectioners’ sugar
Instructions:
In a medium sauce pan or in the microwave slowly melt down the peanut butter. Remove from the heat. Gradually start mixing in the powdered sugar until you have a thick paste like texture.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Then use your hands to gently roll or press 1.5 inch balls together, gently shaping as you go. When you place them on the tray, push down a tiny bit to create a flat bottom. Cover and chill for at least one hour or for a few days.
Follow the instructions on your chocolate for melting, the microwave method is fine. Use a microwave safe dish that is deeper vs wider-but sill wide enough to dip each one in and scoop out.
When the peanut butter balls are chilled and the chocolate is ready, dip them one at a time and place on the paper lined tray. We found using a fork with the flat part of the ball resting on the fork worked very well. Let the chocolate fully set up before moving.
