Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff
What you need:
1 lb ground beef
1 can beef gravy
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 large mushrooms, chopped
8 oz pasta (Rotini or Wide Egg)
6-8 oz of sour cream
1/8 cup red wine (optional)
In a 10 inch pan, brown the ground beef and drain. Add both the gravy and the soup, and mix well. Blend in the mushrooms and wine, then let simmer for about 10 minutes. Cook your noodles until almost tender, drain and add to the meat mixture. Let it all simmer for another 10 minutes or so, and then add the sour cream. Give it a bit more time so the sour cream heats up too. If you like onions, chopped green ones make a good topping.
This recipe will feed 4 or 5, and works great for leftovers later. It is a great stand-by because it only take about 30 minutes and the ingredients are often in the house already.
